Abstract:
This research was conducted at the Zahed Research Station in Tartous Governorate during the 2023-2024 season. It is a field experiment consisting of nine treatments resulting from the interaction of three levels (0%), (1/2%), and (1%) of the approved fertilizer formula for wheat, and three levels of peanut shell biochar (0%), (1%), and (2%) based on soil weight in the top 15 cm layer. Individual biochar treatments and combined treatments of biochar and mineral fertilizer resulted in significant positive differences in wheat plant productivity, plant height, and foliage area. The combined effect of mineral fertilizer and biochar was particularly positive, yielding higher productivity than the individual biochar and mineral fertilizer treatments. The optimal treatment was the one combining the full fertilizer application (mineral fertilizer + 2% biochar) N2B2 (3.093 tons/ha), which significantly outperformed the control and all other treatments in terms of productivity and other indicators. Studied growth.
Keywords: Biochar, Mineral Fertilization, Wheat, productivity.
