Abstract

The study was carried out during 2011-2012 at Ciano citrus experimental station. Growth and yield of 22 years old orange trees (Washington Navel 141) budded on seven citrus rootstocks (Sour orange, Troyer citrange, Carrizo citrange, Citrumelo 4475, Citrumelo 1452, Macrophylla and Cleopatra mandarin) have been studied. The results showed that Sour orange gave the highest yield (79 kg/tree). Citrumelo 4475 significantly showed the highest trunk section area of the rootstock (779.88 cm²); the highest percentage of fruit juice was achieved by Citrumelo 4475 and Troyer citrange (43.43%, 42.37%) respectively, which were significantly superior to Cleopatra (37.39%). The highest percentage of total soluble solids was achieved by Cleopatra (13.1 %), while the highest TA% achieved by Citrumelo 4475 (0.88%) without significant differences compared to other treatments.
