Ghadeer Al Houshi, Email: <a href=\"mailto:ghadeerrafikalhoushi@gmail.com\">ghadeerrafikalhoushi@gmail.com<\/a>)<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">Received:12\/04\/2023\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Accepted:9\/08\/2023<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', Times; font-size: 17px;\"><strong>Abstract:\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', Times; font-size: 17px;\">The study was conducted in the village of Jiboul in the countryside of Jableh city during the agricultural season 2021\/2022, to study the effect of plant density on some growth characteristics of Rocket, a &#8220;local&#8221; variety, and it included two densities: 500,000 plants\/ha (one plant in the hole), 1,000,000 plants\/ha. (Two plants in the hole). The experiment was designed with a randomized complete block design with three replications, and the averages were compared using the Least Significant Difference (L.S.D) test at the 5% level of significance. The results showed that there was a significant effect of the plant density in all the studied traits. The high density achieved the highest plant height (82.67 cm), while the low density was superior in terms of the number of branches per plant (4.33 branches), the number of leaves per plant (16.66 leaves), the leaf area (49.98 cm<sup>2<\/sup>), the wet weight (53.55 g) and the dry weight of the plant (7.43 g).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\"><strong>Keywords: <\/strong>Rocket, Eruca ,density, growth, dry weight.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\"><strong>Full paper in Arabic:<a href=\"http:\/\/agri-research-journal.net\/SjarEn\/wp-content\/uploads\/v11n5p18.pdf\"> pdf<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hossam El Din Khalasi(1), \u00a0Nizar Mualla(1) \u00a0and Ghadeer Al Houshi (1) * \u00a0(1).
