E-Mail: <a href=\"mailto:alisar.nadeem@yahoo.com\">alisar.nadeem@yahoo.com<\/a>)<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', Times; font-size: 16px;\">Received: 20\/12\/2021\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Accepted:8\/03\/2022<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', Times; font-size: 17px;\"><strong>Abstract:\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', Times; font-size: 17px;\">The study was conducted during 2018, at Latakia center for rearing natural enemies, the study aimed to test three cultivars of climbing beans: Aya, Blue lake, and Zilioni gigant, to determine the most suitable cultivar for quantitative production of the predatory mite, <em>Phytoseiulus persimilis <\/em>Athias-Henroit and its use in predator breeding programs, to control the two spotted spider mite <em>Tetranychus urticae<\/em> Koch. Results showed a divergence between the studied cultivars in terms of infestation with\u00a0 <em>T. urticae<\/em> and reproduction speed of <em>P. persimilis<\/em>. It was found that Zilioni gigant is the most sensitive cultivar to the pest, and the most suitable for the increasing and culturing of predator compare to other two cultivars Aya and Blue lake. The average pest numbers &#8211; reached 2570 individuals\/leaflet on Zilioni gigant cultivar, compared to 1740 and 1055 individuals\/leaflet on Blue lake and Aya, respectively, and the average numbers of predators reached 300 individuals\/leaflet on Zilioni gigant, compared to 240, 210 individuals\/leaflet on Blue lake and Aya respectively.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', Times; font-size: 17px;\"><strong>Key words: <\/strong><em>Tetranychus urticae<\/em> Koch<strong>, <\/strong><em>Phytoseiulus persimilis <\/em>Athias-Henroit<strong>,<\/strong> Biological control, Bean, Cultivar.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', Times; font-size: 17px;\">Full paper in Arabic: <a href=\"http:\/\/agri-research-journal.net\/SjarEn\/wp-content\/uploads\/v10n1p34.pdf\">pdf<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Alisar Shaabow (1)*, Mohammad Ahmad(2),\u00a0 \u00a0and Riad\u00a0 Zidan (3) (1).
