E-Mail: <a href=\"mailto:nanoyaro55@gmail.com\">nanoyaro55@gmail.com<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>Received: 21\/04\/2020\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Accepted: 7\/06\/2020<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Abstract<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The research was carried out in the scientific research laboratory at the Faculty of Agriculture &#8211; Tishreen University &#8211; in 2019 with the aim of studying the chemical components of <em>Foeniculum vulgare<\/em> fennel leaves and fruits collected from some areas of Lattakia countryside of different elevation from the sea level (Ras Shamra, Bahlouliya, Maziraa) to form a base for programs Genetic improvement for increasing the active substances in this plant (total chlorophyll, carotene, carbohydrates, protein, essential and essential oil). The results showed the superiority of Al-Maziraa (the highest sea level) significantly over all the qualities studied in the leaves {total chlorophyll ratio (1389.71 micro g \/ g), carotene (51.47 \u00b5 g \/ g), carbohydrates (6.19%), protein (3.88%), and essential), carotene (51.47 \u00b5 g \/ g), carotene (51.47 \u00b5 g \/ g), carbohydrates (6.19%), protein (3.88%), and essential), carbohydrates (6.19%), protein (3.88%) and essential oil (0.7 %)}, On the Ras Shamra and Bahloulia sites, and this may be due to the most favorable environmental conditions for the growth and development of the Shamra plant.
