The total contents of the phenolic compounds were\ncalibrated using Fulin Cycalto method, expressing the result by the amount of\ngallic acid in 1 g fresh weight using a (spectrophotometer). The results showed\nthat phenolic compounds were the highest in the Eastern exposure (14.17\u00b1 1.96\nmg\/g) followed by the Western exposure (12.54\u00b11.27&nbsp; mg\/g) and finally the Southern exposure\n(10.48 \u00b10.94&nbsp; mg\/g). Regarding&nbsp; the fruits, the Western exposure total\nphenolic contents of the fruits were more than that at the Eastern and Southern\nexposures where the highest contents of phenolic compounds (0.42\u00b14.46 mg\/g)\nwere found, followed by the eastern exposure (&nbsp;\n0.72\u00b14.25 mg\/g). Finally, the southern exposure recorded the lowest\nyield (0.29\u00b13.51mg\/g). The analysis of ANOVA showed\nsignificant differences in leaf and fruit contents of phenolic compounds\nbetween the Southern and Eastern exposure and the Southern and Western exposures (P\n&lt;0.0.5), while no significant difference, was observed between East and West\nexposure\n(P&gt; 0.05).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Key words: <\/strong><em>Sorbus torminalis<\/em> L., Phenolic compounds, Exposure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/agri-research-journal.net\/sjar\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/v7n4p24.pdf\">Full paper in Arabic: PDF<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Zainab Amran*(1) Mahmoud Ali(1) and Rim Salame(2) (1).
