E-Mail: aamalachmed63@gmail.com).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Received: 25\/05\/2020&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Accepted: 21\/06\/2020<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>Abstract<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Conocarpus\nerectus<\/em>, <em>Ziziphus jujube, Phoenix\ndactylifera <\/em>L.,<em> Tamarix aphylla<\/em> and <em>Albizia lebbeck<\/em> were\nchosen in four different areas of Basrah (southern Iraq) and for different\ntimes during 2015 to test their tolerance to air pollution, leaves used to estimate\nthe physiological evidence which showed that the low and highest values in\nDecember and May respectively, pH values were \u200b\u200b4.55-8.67 in <em>Albizia lebbeck<\/em>\nand <em>Tamarix aphylla<\/em> respectively, and values of ascorbic acid 0.08-10.33\nmg\/g in <em>Ziziphus jujube<\/em> and <em>Albizia lebbeck<\/em> respectively, content\naqueous leaves were 55.96-98.76% in <em>Albizia lebbeck<\/em> and <em>Ziziphus\njujube<\/em> respectively, total chlorophyll recorded were 0.01-0.13 mg\/g in <em>Phoenix\ndactylifera<\/em> and <em>Albizia lebbeck<\/em> respectively, while the lowest and\nhighest values of air pollution index were (6.42-14.18) in <em>Albizia lebbeck<\/em>\nduring December and May straight as well. The rise in temperature had a role in\nraising the sensitivity of plants to air pollutants, and the data showed the\nvariance of values, which is due to the variation of air pollution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Key words<\/strong>: pH, Ascorbic acid, Relative water, Chlorophyll, Air pollution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/agri-research-journal.net\/sjar\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/v7n4p34.pdf\">Full paper in English: PDF<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Amal A.
