Landraces (local vs.) and Virginia\nwere collected from different market places of El-Beida city, Libya, and seed\nmycoflora was isolated by standard blotter paper method and agar plate method,\nthen identified and addition to be checked for toxin production on PSA, CMA and\nYSA solid media. The identified\nfungal isolates included <em>Aspergillus flavus<\/em>, <em>A. niger<\/em>, <em>A. terreus<\/em>, <em>Cldosporium\ncladospoirides<\/em>, <em>Fusarium<\/em> sp. and <em>Penicillium italicum<\/em>. Data revealed that both varieties were affected by the\nfungal species however, 30 % of <em>A. niger <\/em>on agar plate method and 25 %\non standard blotter paper, while <em>A. terreus <\/em>had the least percent\nincidence of up to 2% on agar plate method. Large seeds were more prone to fungal\ncontamination than small seeds and higher numbers\nof fungi were isolated on agar plate method used as compared to standard\nblotter paper method. Results of the ability\nof fungal isolates for secretion toxins after exposure to liquid ammonia were\nrecorded that color changed in pigment with different intensities, and PSA\nmedium was suitable for toxin secretion by <em>A. flavus<\/em>, <em>A. niger<\/em> and <em>P.\nitalicum<\/em>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Keywords: <\/strong>Storage fungi, Incubation tests, Toxins secretion, Peanut, Libya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Full paper in Arabic: <a href=\"http:\/\/agri-research-journal.net\/sjar\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/v7n3p30.pdf\">PDF<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Magida Younis El-Kadi(1) and Zahra Ibrahim El-Gali*(1) (1).
