E-Mail:\nmohammad.nizam85@hotmail.com).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Received: 21\/07\/2019&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Accepted: 09\/09\/2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>Abstract<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The research was\ncarried out during 2017\nand 2018\non 24 shrubs of <em>Prunus cerasia<\/em> Blanche which naturally prevailing on 12\nsites in the Syrian coast, to determine the initial compatibility of a\ncollection of almonds cultivars (plum, peach and apricot) and <em>P. cerasia<\/em>\nrootstock. The findings showed that the plum cultivar was more significant (at\n5% level) than apricot and peach cultivars in terms of grafting survival\npercentage, average length and thickness of annual shoots for both tongue\ngrafting and T-budding methods. In addition, the apricot cultivar was more\nsignificant than peach cultivar in terms of grafting survival percentage and\nshoots length. The peach was more significant than studied apricot cultivar in\nterms of average of shoots thickness. LK1 and LK2 in Kassab location showed the\nbest grafting results, where the grafting survival percentage, average shoot\nlength and thickness were the highest for grafting with plum cultivar (86.66%,\n48.16 cm, 3.9 mm) and (100%, 57 cm, 6.16 mm), respectively for both grafting\nmethods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Key words: <\/strong>Wild plum, Grafting method,<em> <\/em>Degree of compatibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Full paper in Arabic: <a href=\"http:\/\/agri-research-journal.net\/sjar\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/v7n2p5.pdf\">PDF<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mohammad Nizam*(1) Haitham Ismael(2) and Hafez Mahfoud(3) (1).
