The objective of the study was to study\nheight\u2013diameter relationship as well as to obtain useful data in forest\nmanagement. Ten height curve models were tested viz. Michailoff, Parabel,\nProdan, Petterson, Korsun, Logarithmic, Pretzsch, Freese and Schreuder. The\ndata of 104 trees was divided to estimate\nmodel parameters (71 trees) and the data for evaluation the models (33 trees).\nThe results of model\u2019s efficiency showed the adoption of the logarithmic model.\nThis model had a high R-squared (R<sup>2<\/sup> = 93.38%), and the values of\naverage model error value of 0.06, model accuracy of 0.792, model error % was\n0.589 and standard deviation of model error was 0.529.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Keywords:<\/strong> <em>Pinus brutia, <\/em>Height curves, Growth modelling, Syria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Full Paper in Arabic: <a href=\"http:\/\/agri-research-journal.net\/sjar\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/v7n1p24.pdf\">PDF<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Somar Khalil(1) Ali Thabeet*(1) and Wadie khoury(1) (1).
