The experiment was sown in three methods i.e. ridges (50 cm), ridges (100 cm), and rows, each planting method with plant distance (20 cm between plants). The experiment was laid out in a split plot design, with four replications. The combined analysis exhibited significant effect of the planting method (M) and non significant effect of the varieties (V) for most of the studied traits.
