Abstract:\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

This study was conducted during the spring growing season of the 2025 agricultural year at the Agricultural Scientific Research Center Located in Al-Dweir village, Homs Governorate, with the aim of evaluating the response of potato plants (Cultivar Agria) to vermicompost and the biofertilizer EM1 in combination with different levels of mineral fertilization. Vermicompost was applied at a rate of 0.5 kg\/m\u00b2, while the EM1 biofertilizer EM1 was applied at a concentration of 10 ml\/L. Several levels of mineral fertilization were added according to the following treatments: Control: 100% mineral fertilizer, T1: Vermicompost + biofertilizer + 100% mineral fertilizer, T2: Vermicompost + biofertilizer + 75% mineral fertilizer, T3: Vermicompost + biofertilizer + 50% mineral fertilizer, T4: Vermicompost + biofertilizer + 25% mineral fertilizer, T5: Vermicompost + biofertilizer only. The experiment was arranged in a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD), and the results were analyzed using the statistical software Genstat 12.\u00a0 And treatment means were compared using the Least Significant Difference (LSD) test at the 5% significance level. The results showed that the first treatment significantly outperformed the control in the number of tubers per plant (7.10, 5.95 tubers\/ plant). Furthermore, the first, second, third, and fourth treatments significantly exceeded the control in both tuber weight and yield (170.21, 196.06, 200.20, 175.85, 185.06, 141.23 g; and 5360.67, 5094.11, 4892.89, 4439.89, 3837.56, 3725.33 kg\/ dunum, respectively), without any negative impact on tuber quality traits. Additionally, the first, second, and third treatments showed a significant increase in starch content compared to the control (15.87, 14.45, 13.93, 13.18 %, respectively), whereas no significant differences were observed between the control and the fourth and fifth treatments. The first and second treatments also significantly surpassed the control in protein content (2.23, 2.12, 1.86 %, respectively), while no significant differences were found between the control and the remaining treatments.<\/span><\/p>\n
