Syria.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">(*Corresponding author: Ali Sbieh, E-Mail: <a href=\"mailto:ali_sbeeh@hotmail.com\">ali_sbeeh@hotmail.com<\/a>)<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif;\">Received:\u00a0\u00a0 19\/3\/2024\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Accepted:\u00a0 23\/6\/2024<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', Times; font-size: 17px;\"><strong>Abstract<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Times New Roman', Times; font-size: 17px;\">This study aimed to assess the efficiency of local isolates of the fungus <em>Trichoderma<\/em> sp. and the bacteria <em>Bacillus<\/em> <em>subtilis<\/em> in the biological control of Fusarium wilt disease of tomato, caused by <em>Fusarium oxysporum<\/em> f. sp. <em>lycopersici<\/em> \u200e\u200f (\u200fFOL\u200f), <em>in vitro<\/em> and in the greenhouse. This research conducted in the Agriculture Research Centre in Lattakia during the years 2021 and 2022. The results showed the ability of the used isolates to inhibit the growth of <em>Fusarium<\/em> in <em>in vitro<\/em>, by 50% (by <em>Bacillus<\/em> <em>subtilis<\/em>) and 33% (by <em>Trichoderma<\/em> sp) on PDA medium. The results of planting in pots in greenhouse showed the ability of the fungus <em>Trichoderma<\/em> sp. and the bacteria <em>Bacillus<\/em> <em>subtilis<\/em> isolates to reduce the wilt severity percentage and to promote the growth of tomato plants compared to healthy and infected controls.
